Aerial Imagery of Canada

Recent and historical high-resolution aerial imagery of Canada in Cloud Optimized Geotiff (COG) format. This dataset groups aerial imagery from the Government of Canada from different sources, including time series from the National Air Photo Library (NAPL) in the "napl" sub-bucket and prefix, and aerial orthophoto mosaics from Parks Canada in the "parks-canada" sub-bucket with park name as the prefix. The NAPL of Natural Resources Canada archives over 6 million aerial photographs covering all of Canada, some of which date back to the 1920s. Data coverage

The NAPL mosaics are created using the best spatial resolution available for each time period, which means that the orthophotos composing a NAPL time series are not necessarily co-registered. Use cases include vegetation analysis, change detection using time series, land-use monitoring, and more. This dataset can be used to help communities understand climate change, enhance emergency management and response, and support sustainable resource development.

1940 Census Population Schedules, Enumeration District Maps, and Enumeration District Descriptions

The 1940 Census population schedules were created by the Bureau of the Census in an attempt to enumerate every person living in the United States on April 1, 1940, although some persons were missed. The 1940 census population schedules were digitized by the National Archives and Records Administration (NARA) and released publicly on April 2, 2012. The 1940 Census enumeration district maps contain maps of counties, cities, and other minor civil divisions that show enumeration districts, census tracts, and related boundaries and numbers used for each census. The coverage is nation wide and includes territorial areas. The 1940...

2010 Census Production Settings Demographic and Housing Characteristics (DHC) Demonstration Noisy Measurement File

The 2010 Census Production Settings Demographic and Housing Characteristics (DHC) Demonstration Noisy Measurement File (2023-06-30) is an intermediate output of the 2020 Census Disclosure Avoidance System (DAS) TopDown Algorithm (TDA) (as described in Abowd, J. et al [2022] https://doi.org/10.1162/99608f92.529e3cb9 , and implemented in https://github.com/uscensusbureau/DAS2020RedistrictingProductionCode). The NMF was produced using the official “production settings,” the final set of algorithmic parameters and privacy-loss budget allocations, that were used to produce the 2020 Census Redistricting Data (P.L. 94-171) Summary File...
