The research question
Which patient-reported burdens persist between visits, including when treatment is unchanged?
Proposed design
Condition-specific prospective diary with periodic function assessments and optional linkage to routine clinical measures.
Illustrative design: 12-week follow-up; setup and recruitment are scoped separately.
Data to collect
- Pain, fatigue and morning stiffness
- Patient-reported flare episodes
- Activity and work limitations
- Treatment use and treatment changes
Planned outputs
- Within-person burden trajectories
- Reported flare and recovery patterns
- Daily function by prespecified treatment context
What we confirm with you
We agree the population, sample size, country, collection tools, analysis plan and budget. Collection starts after the required consent, ethics or other permissions and a signed scope are in place.
- Select one diagnosis or prespecified diagnosis strata
- Distinguish symptom reports from clinical disease-activity scores
- Verify diagnosis and treatment records when required
Clinical records, laboratory results, photographs and device integrations are included only when access, collection quality and permitted use have been verified. Self-reported findings are identified as such.
