The research question
Where do delays, repeated visits and unmet information needs occur along the patient journey?
Proposed design
Retrospective timeline interviews supported by a short prospective diary; optional record confirmation is separately scoped.
Illustrative design: one timeline interview and a 2-week diary; setup and recruitment are scoped separately.
Data to collect
- Reported symptom onset and care milestones
- Referral and appointment sequence
- Treatment starts, stops and changes
- Costs, time burden and information needs
Planned outputs
- Annotated journey maps
- Reported delay and access patterns
- Differences by care setting and participant background
What we confirm with you
We agree the population, sample size, country, collection tools, analysis plan and budget. Collection starts after the required consent, ethics or other permissions and a signed scope are in place.
- Label recalled dates and self-reported diagnoses
- Confirm any clinical-record access separately
- Design sampling around the intended market
Clinical records, laboratory results, photographs and device integrations are included only when access, collection quality and permitted use have been verified. Self-reported findings are identified as such.
