The research question
Which burdens are most common in the target population, and which groups report the greatest unmet needs?
Proposed design
A cross-sectional survey with prespecified eligibility, sampling targets and a short set of licensed or original fit-for-purpose measures.
Illustrative design: one 10- to 20-minute survey per participant; setup and recruitment are scoped separately.
Data to collect
- Symptom frequency and interference
- Work and household activity impact
- Reported care use and access barriers
- Treatment satisfaction and unmet needs
Planned outputs
- Descriptive tables with uncertainty
- Subgroup comparisons where supported
- Sampling and missing-data report
What we confirm with you
We agree the population, sample size, country, collection tools, analysis plan and budget. Collection starts after the required consent, ethics or other permissions and a signed scope are in place.
- Define the sampling frame and avoid population claims from convenience samples
- Check questionnaire permissions and translations
- Confirm minimum reporting cells and privacy controls
Clinical records, laboratory results, photographs and device integrations are included only when access, collection quality and permitted use have been verified. Self-reported findings are identified as such.
