The research question
What helps or prevents adults with hypertension from completing home measurements and following their treatment plan?
Proposed design
Observational measurement and medication diary using an agreed home-measurement protocol and a verified device where required.
Illustrative design: 4- to 8-week follow-up; setup and recruitment are scoped separately.
Data to collect
- Blood-pressure readings with device and timing
- Reported medicine use and missed doses
- Measurement burden and confidence
- Sleep, activity and relevant routine changes
Planned outputs
- Measurement completeness and variability
- Reported adherence barriers
- Usability and treatment-burden findings
What we confirm with you
We agree the population, sample size, country, collection tools, analysis plan and budget. Collection starts after the required consent, ethics or other permissions and a signed scope are in place.
- Verify cuff suitability and measurement protocol
- Set clinical escalation and oversight before collecting readings
- Treat self-reported adherence separately from dispensing confirmation
Clinical records, laboratory results, photographs and device integrations are included only when access, collection quality and permitted use have been verified. Self-reported findings are identified as such.
