Study diary and ePRO feasibility

Test whether participants can complete a proposed diary or questionnaire schedule before a larger study.

Study brief for prospective collection. Scope and recruitment are assessed on request. This listing does not include a completed dataset.

The research question

Can the target population complete the planned assessments reliably without excessive burden?

Proposed design

A short pilot of the proposed prompts, reminders and support process, followed by usability interviews.

Illustrative design: 2- to 4-week pilot; setup and recruitment are scoped separately.

Data to collect

  • Completion and on-time entry rates
  • Time to complete and missing items
  • Technical failures and support needs
  • Participant understanding and burden

Planned outputs

  • Feasibility and usability report
  • Assessment schedule recommendations
  • Data-completeness and retention estimates for planning

What we confirm with you

We agree the population, sample size, country, collection tools, analysis plan and budget. Collection starts after the required consent, ethics or other permissions and a signed scope are in place.

  • Confirm the exact app build and supported devices
  • Check instrument permissions and implementation fidelity
  • Set pilot success criteria before collection

Clinical records, laboratory results, photographs and device integrations are included only when access, collection quality and permitted use have been verified. Self-reported findings are identified as such.
