Wearable and diary feasibility

Test whether device measurements and patient reports can be combined reliably for a planned study.

Study brief for prospective collection. Scope and recruitment are assessed on request. This listing does not include a completed dataset.

The research question

Are device wear time, data completeness and participant burden adequate for the proposed research question?

Proposed design

A technical and participant pilot using a specified device, version and data-export route, paired with a short diary.

Illustrative design: 2- to 4-week pilot; setup and recruitment are scoped separately.

Data to collect

  • Wear time and sync gaps
  • Timestamp and unit consistency
  • Diary completion and device usability
  • Agreement between related measures

Planned outputs

  • Device and diary data-quality report
  • Missingness and synchronization analysis
  • Recommendations for a larger study

What we confirm with you

We agree the population, sample size, country, collection tools, analysis plan and budget. Collection starts after the required consent, ethics or other permissions and a signed scope are in place.

  • Confirm device access, export rights and supported integrations
  • Assess fitness for the intended outcome
  • Do not label exploratory signals as validated clinical biomarkers

Clinical records, laboratory results, photographs and device integrations are included only when access, collection quality and permitted use have been verified. Self-reported findings are identified as such.
